Brief Introduction
FeCrAl 1.4767, also known as CrAl 20 5, is a high-performance iron-chromium-aluminum (FeCrAl) alloy designed for high-temperature applications, primarily as a heating element material. The alloy's defining feature is its high resistivity (electrical resistance), which allows it to efficiently generate heat when an electric current passes through it. This, combined with its ability to form a protective aluminum oxide layer, gives it outstanding oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1200°C. Consequently, its primary use is in manufacturing heating elements for high-temperature environments like industrial furnaces and combustion kiln. Beyond heating, it is also used in specialized applications like interconnect materials for solid oxide fuel cells, leveraging its stable protective oxide layer at operating temperatures.
